Have you ever experienced pain in one of your teeth? When the nerve inside the tooth becomes inflamed or infected from a large cavity, filling, or crack in the tooth, a root canal may be needed to save your tooth.
Root canals are very common dental procedures, which are safe and most importantly – painless! Your dentist will numb your tooth and gums with local anesthetic so you don’t feel a thing. We also offer nitrous oxide, “laughing gas”, to help you relax during the procedure. Once you’re comfortable, very small instruments are used to gently remove the nerve of the tooth and any infection. The root canals within the tooth are then filled with a biocompatible material and sealed with either a filling or a crown.
